op-ed requirements

op-eds are short persuasive stories that are meant to shortly gain the attention of the public for further reading. they are in no means a complete research and analysis of a topic, but simply to try to draw in interest on it. Written mainly in opinion pages in newspapers, they are also spending and making their way through web logs too! ^.^ generally a page in length and meant for the general public.
